The Department of Human Services has mandated this 40-hour Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) training as a requirement for all QIDPs. Anixter Center’s course meets the DHS standards of instruction. Anyone is welcome to apply for the course, but applicants should be aware of the requirements for participants.

Classes will be held online via Zoom software. Classes will occur every Thursday from 1pm to 5pm beginning on October 8, 2020 and ending on December 10, 2020. Thursday, December 17, 2020 is scheduled as a tentative makeup date in the event of any emergency class cancellations. ALL QIDP TRAINEES MUST ATTEND ALL 9 MODULES, COMPLETE ASSIGNED HOMEWORK IN A TIMELY FASHION, AND PASS THE FINAL EXAM (80%) IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE CERTIFICATION.
The fee for the complete 40 hours of instruction is $850 per person. We offer a discounted rate of $600 to any additional persons registered for the same course offering by the same agency/entity. Upon completion of the 40-hour training course and passing the exam, Anixter Center will provide participants with a certificate of completion. It is the responsibility of the home agency to complete the Core Competency Area Checklist.
