QIDP Training – NEXT OFFERING BEGINS OCTOBER, 2019 – PLEASE REGISTER BY 10/4/2019
The Department of Human Services has mandated this 40-hour Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) training as a requirement for all QIDPs. Anixter Center’s course meets the DHS standards of instruction. Anyone is welcome to apply for the course, but applicants should be aware of the requirements for participants. Please contact DHS or the Anixter Center Training Department prior to registering to ensure training participant meets qualifications. Next QIDP Training will begin the second week of October, 2019 and finish the second week of December – DAY OF WEEK TO BE DETERMINED PENDING ATTENDEES – DEADLINE FOR OCTOBER CLASS REGISTRATION IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4TH.
Classes are held once per week for 4 hours beginning the week of October 7th, 2019 and ending the week of December 9th, 2019. The week of December 16th will be the designated backup in the event of any emergency class cancellations. All classes will be held at the Anixter Center offices located at 1945 W. Wilson in Chicago. ALL QIDP TRAINEES MUST ATTEND ALL 9 MODULES, COMPLETE ALL HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS and COMPLETE THE FINAL EXAM IN ORDER TO EARN THE QIDP CERTIFICATION.
The fee for the complete 40 hours of instruction is $850 per person. We offer a discounted rate of $600 to any additional persons registered for the same course offering by the same agency/entity. Upon completion of the 40 hour training, Anixter Center will provide the participant with a certificate of completion. It is the responsibility of the home agency to complete the Core Competency Area Checklist.
