This May, we are honored to be featured on the Wintrust Digital Billboard along the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94), just before the North Avenue exit. Each day, thousands of commuters will see Anixter Center’s mission brought to life in a bold, public way—reminding our city that inclusion is not an ideal, but a practice we must actively build together.
This opportunity, made possible through Wintrust’s ongoing commitment to community partnership, reflects something we deeply value: the belief that nonprofit organizations deserve platforms as visible and dynamic as the work they do every day.
As a Chicago-based organization serving individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, and those who are Deaf, DeafBlind, or Hard of Hearing, Anixter Center has been rooted in this work since 1919. “Our vision has always been about access—access to employment, education, housing, health, and community life. And just as importantly, access to visibility and voice. The Wintrust billboard is one of the most visible opportunities we’ve had to share our vision at scale. We are grateful for partners like Wintrust who understand that inclusion grows when awareness grows.” Shares Samantha Hadley, Anixter’s CEO.
The billboard will feature rotating messaging daily from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM and 8:00 PM–10:00 PM, from May 1 through June 1, reaching thousands of individuals traveling one of Chicago’s most heavily trafficked corridors. In many ways, this is more than a campaign—it is a moment of connection between mission and public life.
Wintrust’s partnership with Anixter Center reflects a broader commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen our communities in tangible ways—through inclusion, workforce development, housing, health, and opportunity. We are proud to be part of that network of organizations working to move Chicago forward.
To those who catch a glimpse of Anixter Center on the expressway this month—know that your awareness helps expand what is possible for individuals of all abilities across our city.
Anixter is driven by the belief that Inclusion is not static. It is built in moments like these.
