Paint the Night Purple is a high-energy evening that united 500+ young professionals and community leaders in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. From Live music and a KJ to an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and an exciting silent auction, this event blended fun and philanthropy for a cause that touches millions. Together, they raised critical funds to advance Alzheimer’s care, support, and research across Illinois.  For Michelle, this cause is deeply personal. “My grandmother, my mother, and my aunt have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and our family has experienced the impact of this disease across multiple generations. I currently serve on the Junior Board for the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter, where our mission is to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia while supporting fundraising events, education, advocacy, and programs for families affected by the disease. Because this illness has touched our family, we are personally invested in helping advance awareness, support families navigating the disease, and working toward a future where Alzheimer’s no longer exists.”   Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Today, it affects more than 7 million Americans and an estimated 55 million people  worldwide. It is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and carries an enormous emotional and financial burden for both individuals and the families who care for them.
