More than 100 golfers enjoyed a day on the greens at the 9th Annual Lester J. Anixter Memorial Golf Outing. Hosted at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park on June 25, the event served as an opportunity to honor the late Lester J. Anixter by playing the game he loved in support of Anixter Center.

Guests played a spirited 18-hole scramble where they competed for several awards, including the highly coveted hole-in-one award of a 2012 Jaguar XF, which was graciously donated by Howard Orloff Imports. While on the course, guests were also able to meet and greet with Chicago Sky center Carolyn Swords.

Golfers ended the day with a cocktail hour and delicious dinner at the clubhouse, where they had an opportunity to bid on incredible silent auction items, including thirty pounds of chocolate courtesy of Blommer Chocolate Company and prized Chicago sports memorabilia. During dinner, event chairman Peter Silberman led a live auction filled with luxurious vacation packages, golf excursions and more.

Thanks to the generosity of the event’s sponsors, including the Lester & Edward Anixter Family Foundation, Adams Plastics, LP, Summit Executive Centre, AIM Specialty Health and those in attendance, the 9th Annual Lester J. Anixter Memorial Golf Outing raised more than $143,000 to support the mission of Anixter Center.
