Whitney Marcilus

Founder & Managing Partner, Merci Capital 

Whitney Mercilus is the Founder & Managing Partner of Merci Capital, a private investment firm focused on real estate and private equity. A Kellogg School of Management Executive MBA graduate, he brings the discipline, strategic thinking, and leadership developed during a distinguished 10-year NFL career to investing and business. 

A former Second-Team All-Pro and one of the most accomplished pass rushers in Houston Texans franchise history, Whitney has built his post-football career around creating long-term value through thoughtful investments and purposeful leadership. 

Whitney’s commitment to community is reflected in the Mercilus Family Foundation, which he founded in 2016 to support individuals with disabilities and their families. His dedication to expanding opportunity and fostering independence closely aligns with Anixter Center’s mission of empowering people with disabilities to lead full, independent lives. 

Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with his family, traveling the world, and curating his wine collection.
