Amy Bowers, LCSW

Vice President of Behavioral Health

Since 1999, Amy has focused on building Anixter Center’s mental health service quality, agency
compliance and policies through training oversight and developing internal knowledge. Her leadership has strengthened Anixter Center’s mental health programs, substance use disorder programs and compliance to better support our underserved communities.

Amy graduated from the University of Illinois Jane Addams School of Social Work with a master’s
degree and a concentration in mental health. She began her career by supervising a residential
setting for forty adults with mental illness, substantially improving organizational effectiveness and revenue. Prior to joining Anixter Center, Amy served as a crisis worker at Illinois Masonic, a Level 1 trauma center.

In addition to her professional expertise, Amy’s credentials include certification as a Qualified
Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), an Ethics Scholar via the Rehabilitation Institute of
Chicago, and a graduate of the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities
at the University of Delaware.
