Sean Murphy is the President of SP Murphy, Inc. and brings decades of leadership experience across both the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of executive and operational roles, including Procurement Manager, Deputy Aviation Commissioner, Chief Purchasing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Vice President. His expertise spans engineering and construction, aviation, and public education systems. 

Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and an MBA with a concentration in Finance. His broad professional background has equipped him with a strong foundation in strategic planning, operations, procurement, and organizational leadership. 

Sean was drawn to Anixter’s mission because of its commitment to serving some of the most vulnerable individuals in our communities. He is passionate about supporting organizations that create meaningful opportunities and improve the quality of life for those they serve. 

Outside of his professional and board responsibilities, Sean enjoys spending as much time as possible on the golf course, participating in events with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and traveling with family and friends.
