Anixter Center’s dedicated Board Chair, Joanna Horsnail, is a partner in the law firm of Mayer Brown LLP. Joanna has two sons, Owen who is 12 and William who is 10.

A Message From Dr. Teresa Garate
Dear Anixter Center Friends, Colleagues and Supporters:
It is with great excitement that I write the first letter to be included in our new Quarterly Newsletter. Now that I have been at the helm of this amazing organization for over six months, I am even more excited than when I started. Those of you who know me, know that I am a touchy feely person so amidst our clients I am in good company.
Anixter Center and its three divisions—CALOR, Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) and Lekotek—form one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the Chicago area serving children, teens, adults and seniors with disabilities.
CALOR has built a unique niche supporting people of color on Chicago’s West side, particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) empowers deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people to communicate and collaborate.
National Lekotek Center provides an array of services to improve the lives of children with special needs through toys and play therapy.
